My Mind's Door

My Mind's Door

Lyrics

My Mind's Door
My mind's door has opened.
It's had been closed so long,
Since sometime after my childhood.
Shortly before I left home.
Fearing the loss of innocence,
And the fear of the unknown.
Now it is open to the worlds wonders.
The seen and the unseen.
Things I was always afraid to experience,
The clean and unclean.
Even things no one likes,
Syrupy nice and dirty mean.
An open door tempts undesirables,
Like a thief to an open vault.
A wise man filters his intake,
The unwise never finds what's sought.
The seeking gives the find worth.
It raises the value of what’s bought.
My minds door has been opened.
I hope it is never closed again.
Now my life feels worth living.
Working hard, money to spend.
I am looking forward to tomorrow,
Wishing each day would never end.
I am taking the door from it’s hinges,
So it can ‘t ever be closed again.
Leaving the doorway uncluttered,
All new things can enter in.
My mind’s door has been opened.
I pray it never closes again.
My open door is an invitation to you.
Join me on my wonderful adventure,
We will see what other doors we walk through.
My mind’s door has been opened.
Now it stands wide open.
My mind’s door is wide open.
