Gather Around The Christmas Tree

Let's forget about our worldly woes

And get the spirit of peace and love.

Let's gather around the Christmas tree

And sing praises to Christ above.

Over two thousand years ago,

Our Christ came to this earth.

The angels sung his praises,

And told of his birth.

God's son was born to Mary,

To give peace to mortal man.

Oh, how long must we wait,

For Christ to come back again?

If Christ were to come today,

He would be welcome in my home.

I would give him all my worldly goods,

He already has my soul.

Would the world accept him now?

Would there be peace at last?

Would his miracles be enough,

To save us from our past?

Let's forget about our worldly woes

And get the spirit of peace and love.

Let's gather around the Christmas tree

And sing praises to Christ above.

Let's all put up a Christmas tree,

We can wrap it with a thousand lights.

Place a shining angel at the top,

Hang ornaments that are shiny and bright.

We can wrap presents for our loved ones,

And place them just under, out of sight.

Then we can gather around the Christmas tree

And sing praises to the Holy guest of the night.

Let's forget about our worldly woes

And get the spirit of peace and love.

Let's gather around the Christmas tree

And sing praises to Christ above.

Let's gather around the Christmas tree

And sing praises to Christ above.
