Sitting on this porch, watching the world go around,

Thinking of things of importance, and some not so profound,

I wish everyone with ears could understand and heed,

Stupid people shouldn’t be allowed to breed.

Like the woman listening to her I-Pod crossing a street,

See didn’t see the car coming or hear the beep, beep, beep.

She wakes up in the hospital, a concussion, broken leg and arm,

Blamed the driver, she can’t see, she about bought the farm.

No, stupid people shouldn’t be allowed to breed,

Like wanting to plant wildflowers but can’t find the seed.

Can’t you hear the heartache, can’t you feel the plight?

If only the world would listen, we could make it right.

It’s a simple wish, we need to make it real.

It seems stupid people haven’t the sense to feel,

For everyone else that has to put up with their crap.

I wish they'd find a place to lay down and take a nap.

Like the guy that got a wild hair and said hold my beer.

He bet his buddies he could jump a fence he couldn’t clear.

He took a run and a leap, caught one foot at the top,

Hit his face on the other side, lost his shoe, he finished the flop.

We wish we could teach them, show them all the way,

But their stubbornness just pushes the truth away.

Maybe someday they’ll see it, common sense will win,

And the curse of all these stupid people will end.
