Lyrics
The Joke's On YouEveryone around me thinks they are funny.
Making fun of someone means more to them than money.
Practical jokes are funny until the jokes on you.
Someone might put pepper in your shorts or glue in your shoe.
A needle in the couch on which you sit.
That would make anyone throw a fit.
Ink in your toothpaste or a sign on your back.
Or someone jumps out and gives you a heart attack.
All is well and good if no one gets dead.
Just remember karma has a way of rearing it's head.
It may all come rushing back and leave you with regret.
Just remember to give the jokester his due respect.
If someone put Nair in my hair while I'm sitting in a barber chair.
I would be fit to be tied, it would warrant justifiable homicide.
That is one thing I couldn't let pass and to be fair,
I would look like a dork without a full head of hair.
Most things people, with a sense of humor, do for a start
Are whoopee cushions, itching powder or a canned fart.
These are always funny done at someone else's expense.
But when the jokes on you you need to go on the offense.
All is well and good if no one gets dead.
Just remember karma has a way of rearing it's head.
It may all come rushing back and leave you with regret.
Just remember to give the jokester his due respect.
It is all fun and games until the joke's on you.
Karma is a female dog when the jokes on you.
