Kids Raising Kids

Lyrics

Kids Raising Kids
This is the story of Jennie and John.
A couple soon leaving their teens,
Married without a pot to piss in,
And still living beyond their means.
No idea what it means to be an adult,
Having a baby is like having a new toy.
Playing house with no means of support.
They put a curse on their little boy.
Depending on others for food and a ride,
Everyone knew it would never last.
Playing the blame game about who’s at fault,
Their marriage fell apart pretty damn fast.
Kids raising kids,
Find it is harder than what they thought.
Kids raising kids,
With no job, it’s hard to pay for what you bought.
It wasn’t long before they wished,
They didn’t do what they did.
It always happens, when kids try to raise kids.
As time went on, they did too,
One went one way, and one the other.
Neither one able to take care of a kid,
They took him to live with her mother.
His childhood really screwed him up,
A kid being raised by a kid and her screwy mother.
The poor kid never had a chance at a decent life.
It is a good thing that he never had a sister or brother.
Kids raising kids,
Find it is harder than what they thought.
Kids raising kids,
With no job, it’s hard to pay for what you bought.
It wasn’t long before they wished,
They didn’t do what they did.
It always happens, when kids try to raise kids.
This was the story of Jennie and John.
A couple, in mind, never left their teens,
Married and divorced without a pot to piss in,
And still living beyond their means.
To this day they wish they never done what they did.
It always happens when kids try to raise kids.
