Life Under the Trailer

Twenty years I’ve toiled and I’ve learned the ropes,

Underneath the trailers, where reality scoops,

Fixing what’s broken, patching those seams,

Where shadows lurk and we chase our dreams.

Fighting off spiders, I’ve wrestled with fears,

Lost a few battles, but I’ve shed no tears.

Face to face with cats that give me a fright,

But I find my strength as I crawl through the night.

Life under the trailer, it’s where I belong,

With every screw turned, I write a new song.

Building my business like a big ol' bee,

Buzzing around, ain’t no fear in me.

I see through the lies that contractors weave,

With each fix I make, I truly believe.

Years keep rolling, but my heart stays true,

Every critter I encounter, every challenge I brew,

Found a few friends “neath the rusty old beams,

And the wisdom I gain is more than it seems.

Clients they trust me, for I deliver right,

With love in my hands, I bring things to light.

God’s given me knowledge, I hold it so dear,

I’ll never stop praising Him year after year.

Crawling on hands and knees, it’s how I’ve been raised,

Fixing what others have left in a haze.

No spider too big, no issue too tall,

With faith as my guide, I’m standing tall.

Tomorrow’s another house that I’ll go under,

To show them my worth, to fix what’s asunder.
