Lyrics
My Wild Mountain RoseNo one knows where she came from,
No one knows where she goes.
I can't help it, I love her.
My wild mountain Rose.
Hiking a trail in the dark north woods,
Just enjoying nature, feeling at ease,
A flesh colored blur raced past me.
Long red hair bouncing in the breeze.
I watched her until she was out of sight.
Up the trail and across the ridge,
Jumped a ravine, ran down the hill,
And sped across a long swinging bridge.
No one knows where she came from,
No one knows where she goes.
I can't help it, I love her.
My wild mountain Rose.
I return to the trail, a few times a year,
To track her down and maybe meet.
Express my feeling of love at first sight,
I can only hope she feels the same heat.
She has been spotted by hikers on the trail.
Saw her coming, but can’t say where she goes.
Running like a deer with what God gave her.
Where is she staying, where is her clothes?
No one knows where she came from,
No one knows where she goes.
I can't help it, I love her.
My wild mountain Rose.
If she got to know me, she would love me.
I hope someday she gets the chance.
The next time she comes running past,
I hope she takes more than a glance.
No one knows where she came from,
No one knows where she goes.
I can't help it, I love her.
My wild mountain Rose.
I just want to hold her,
My wild mountain Rose.
