Reaganomics Has Sure Been Hard on Me

I'm so low I can't get no lower.

I know I can't feel no older.

Fate sure has dealt me a bad hand.

If things don't change I'm going to give up,

Start drinking liquor from my coffee cup

And see if life's any better in another land.

You can't buy a job around here.

It seems nobody gives a care.

The whole place started going to hell in eighty three.

I've worked hard all of my life.

Fed two kids and a wife.

There's no way out as far as I can see.

I gave my best years to my job.

Now I feel I've been robbed.

The bank now owns everything I had.

I think I'll go see my ex boss

And show him what it costs

To take the bread out of the mouth of an honest man.
