Dark Star Jerry Ray's Song

There is a dark star on the horizon.

You can't see it but it is there,

Ever present, looming large,

Like my worst nightmare.

If you watch the news,

I’m sure you see what I see.

The world is going to hell in a hand basket.

It will soon be the end of you and me.

The people we have running our countries,

Have gone crazy from their stress.

They all have their fingers on the button,

Just looking for a reason to press.

There is a dark star on the horizon.

You can't see it, but it is there,

Ever present, looming large,

Like my worst nightmare.

Russia hates itself but is trying,

To put the old union back together.

China would like to dominate the world,

But has trouble keeping Taiwan on a tether.

North Korea and Iran just hates everybody.

The rulers are rich, trying to collect a ransom.

Nigeria is in the middle of a genocide.

Killing Christians for no good reason.

There is a dark star on the horizon.

You can't see it but it is there,

Ever present, looming large,

Like my worst nightmare.

America flexes it’s muscles and shows it’s balls,

Then throws money at nonsense causes.

Worrying about all the other countries problems,

Stands back with a hand cupped ear,

Waiting for the applause,

There is a dark star on the horizon.

You can't see it but it is there,

Ever present, looming large,

Like my worst nightmare.

There is a dark star on the horizon,

I dread the dark star.
