Lyrics
Feather Brained BirdI've got a feather brained bird.
The words he says are absurd.
Where he got such a mouth,
I’ll never figure out.
It’s the worst language, I’ve ever heard,
From a feather brained bird.
We inherited a bird from my father-in-law.
His origin is a mystery to me.
He flew into my wife’s father’s window,
When my wife was about three.
He immediately started spouting orders.
Telling the family to do this and that.
They were bewildered and did what he said,
Until he said they had to get rid of the cat.
I've got a feather brained bird.
The words he says are absurd.
Where he got such a mouth,
I’ll never figure out.
It’s the worst language, I’ve ever heard,
Darn that feather brained bird.
For my wife’s mother, her cat was her baby.
She decided that it was the last straw.
She went out and bought a large bird cage,
And placed it in a back room against a wall.
He might have learned them from a movie,
The rear of a bar or through bed room wall,
But he built a catalog of severe curse words,
That would make the biggest man feel small.
I've got a feather brained bird.
The words he says are absurd.
Where he got such a mouth,
I’ll never figure out.
It’s the worst language, I’ve ever heard.
What a feather brained bird,
We ignore him, in one ear and out the other.
Let him rave on with his sailor’s spiel.
I’m not sure of his age, he can’t live forever.
If he past before me, it would be ideal.
I've got a feather brained bird.
The words he says are absurd.
He curses with every breath.
He probably will til his death.
I hate that feather brained bird.
Dang that featherbrained bird.
