Amazing Grace Forever

Lying on his hospice bed, old Ron turned 93.
The twinkle in his eye tells me he knows it me.
And when I tell him “Semper Fi” a smile fills his face
It widens even further to the song Amazing Grace.

His days are counting down on the farm in Florida
But Nate is doing great, taking care of Dad for us.
Barbie’s in from Oregon, the nurse who never tires
And today, we’ll have a party for the man we all admire.

C: There’s praising and there’s dancing on the streets all made of gold.
There’s joy and no more sadness, no more sickness, no more cold.
There’s a mansion with his address in a city on a hill
Where the awe of seeing Jesus is a never-ending thrill.

Sandy’s working hard and couldn’t come from Washington
But we’ll be sure to call her so she can send her love.
The food will be fantastic oh the stories that we’ll tell
Of the mighty dad who raised us all around the world

From the Glen in Colorado to the Filipino sands
Korean rice mixed with kimchi and Miso in Japan
His journey of a lifetime that began in Idaho
Will soon be moved to heaven, where the worship never ends.

C: There’s praising and there’s dancing on the streets all made of gold.
There’s joy and no more sadness, no more sickness, no more cold.
There’s a mansion with his address in a city on a hill
Where the awe of seeing Jesus is a never-ending thrill.

There’s praising and there’s dancing on the streets all made of gold.
There’s joy and no more sadness, no more sickness, no more cold.
There’s a mansion with his address in a city on a hill
Where the awe of seeing Jesus is a never-ending thrill.
